“and if you are to find him [god],
you are going to have to go into the nowhere
and stay there as long as you are able.”
With her first short film, Jennifer attempts to explore the delicate subject of religion. Religious journeys are either often ignored by filmmakers or part of a larger Christian Agenda. Jennifer wanted a film that authentically showcases the honest conversations young people have as they try to make sense of a belief system. This film takes no side and has no agenda. There is no obligation for a concise conclusion; the self is rarely resolved. The film aspires to illuminate one female’s wrestle with the paradoxes of sexuality, her god, and her purpose.
